The Code of Practice demonstrates how high quality youth work can play a vital role in the success of study support programmes. It sets out the principles of good practice for those setting up or running study support projects drawing on examples of good practice from around the country. It provides a framework of standards with identifiable success criteria, which can be used to evaluate and improve practice. Strategies and sources of support are suggested which can help create high quality effective projects which contribute to raising young people's achievement.
In conjunction with the Youth Work and Study Support Framework this Code of Practice will provide practical and detailed support for local authorities, schools and youth services that wish to plan, develop, monitor and evaluate study support programmes.
