These materials (Part 1 and 2) are designed to facilitate and support the provision of study support programmes for trainee and practising teachers by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and other training providing agencies. They are intended to help bridge the gap between aspiration to develop new programme content and its realisation. They are offered as resources to be used as individual HEIs and other training centres choose, in developing study support content as part of their wider teacher training and professional development programmes. They will help to encourage teachers to become actively involved in this important, exciting and expanding area.
